Skinners Shoot Road, Byron Bay 

This place is a destination in itself, located away from the main town and backing on to a forest reserve. 

There's a performance space, art gallery and bar on site. It's a bit of an alternative for most travellers. 

Most rooms face onto a pool and there's even a bus and tee-pee you can stay in.  There's a great cafe restaurant serving breakfast through dinner as well.
