Oz Experience - How to Book

Oz Experience Bus

Oz Experience Bus

Why should I manage/book my buses online?

To allow you to be in control of your holiday plans.  The online itinerary manager allows you to book yourself on and off Oz Experience buses between Sydney to/from Cairns.

Note: Oz Experience does not operate daily. When booking your itinerary online you have the option of chosing an Oz Experience bus (OZ Service) or Greyhound Bus (GX Service) for your travel. Greyhound buses offer you more flexibility with your travel, however do not include driver guides. Please ensure you opt for the best option to suit your travel.

Booking Online is the best way because:

  • You won’t pay for phone calls or be placed on hold
  • It keeps a record of your journey
  • You’ll probably spend a lot of times in Internet Cafe’s anyway

When you make a booking with us you’ll be automatically sent a confirmation email to the email address you've supplied to us. This email contains a user ID or PNR as we call them. A PNR is a Personal Name Record. The email also contains a weblink to our reservations system log in page.

Please call 1300 300 028 for booking on buses. If you are NOT travelling between Sydney and Cairns in either direction since the online itinerary manager does not work for travel in these areas.

Troubleshooting tips:

I’ve booked my pass and was told I would be emailed a username and log in. I haven’t received it?
Check in your spam or junk mail box. Often your filters will prevent the email coming to your inbox.

I’ve tried to book my buses but there’s no availability showing for the day I want to travel?
The online availability reflects the ‘real time’ bus availability the same as what our Reservations team sees. It may be the case that we don’t have a bus running the day you want to travel. Refer to the Timetable to help your planning also.

How do I get on a waitlist if the bus is full?
Call the reservations number on 1300 300 028 between 2.30pm and 6.30pm and advise reservations you wish to be waitlisted

There are more buses available when I log in than what you have on your Timetable. Are the buses I see online real or a mistake?
Depending on the demand for our services we often put on more departures than what are timetabled. We do this to ensure everyone can get on buses at peak or busy times. This is one of the strengths of the system that allows you greater flexibility by using the system.

It won’t work when I’m trying to book buses that aren’t between Sydney and Cairns? Why?
There’s a technical complication that prevents the online manager working for travel Sydney <>Melbourne<> Adelaide<>Alice Springs<> Darwin. Please call 1300 300 028 if you are traveling in these areas and wish to book on a bus

If you have further questions, the system is not working for you, or you just need help, please call 1300 300 028 or email for help.
