1. Oz Experience Passes, issued for a specific travel sector, are valid for travel in one direction over the sector which the pass name refers to, from the first date of travel for up to a 6 month period, or until the pass holder has travelled once over all sections of the travel pass, whichever happens first.
2. Expired passes can be extended for a further period for a fee of $50 per 3 month period of extension.
3. First day of travel must commence within 12 months of the date of agency voucher issue.
4. Local Payments are payable on day of departure to Oz Experience staff, or to outside operators as services are provided. Please refer to Local Payment grid.
5. IMPORTANT: To help ensure your seat, confirm each sector at least 7 days prior to travel. BOOK SECTORS ONLINE - ASK US HOW. If you wish to leave a bus, it is your responsibility to reconfirm your next sector by contacting our reservations department: 1300 300 028 (local call cost in Australia) or enquiries@ozexperience.com.
6. Tickets are not transferable for another persons use.
7. Should a customer fail to appear for a confirmed departure date and at that point their ticket becomes void until a AU$50 penalty fee is paid to reinstate the ticket.
8. Oz Experience reserves the right to alter the route or itinerary of any of its tours and arrange alternative carriers to those advertised if necessary. No refunds will be given in these circumstances or in the event of any delay, curtailment or alteration of a trip resulting from any cause including severe weather conditions or mechanical failure.
9. A minimum number of passengers is required to operate each tour. It may be necessary to cancel a scheduled departure and to offer an alternative or full refund for that tour. Oz Experience can’t guarantee pick up or drop off times and are not liable for passenger failure to connect with other services.
10. Luggage Limit. There is a 15kg luggage limit. Please try and keep to that limit so we can ensure we can carry everyone's luggage in our trailers. If you can try and keep your belongings in one pack or case then this also assists packing. As a general rule if you can't carry it, we won't either. It's your responsibility to pack bags into the trailer. If your trip returns to the place your are starting your trip from, think about storing excess luggage to await your return. If you're not returning to the place you started your trip, think about freight forwarding luggage. All luggage that is more than 20kg must be marked as "HEAVY" so our staff avoid injury by picking it up off the ground without knowing
11. We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings or baggage.
12. Itineraries may vary and / or attractions substituted due to seasonal conditions, Traditional Owner and National Park requirements.
13. Some activities included on the Oz Experience network may require a reasonable level of fitness. If you have any doubts about your ability to participate with these activities, you are under no obligation to participate.
14. Independent operators run some of the activities listed in our promotional material, or described by our drivers; Oz Experience and its staff cannot be held responsible for their actions or performance in any way.
15. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard our clients, we cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to events which are beyond our control. Passengers should note that adventure travel involves a higher than normal risk and a signed release will be required from all participants before tour departure.
16. Travel insurance is NOT included, we strongly recommend that passengers have their own travel insurance against illness, injury, loss / damage to personal belongings and not being able to travel on the confirmed departure date.
17. Oz Experience reserves the right to increase standard charges, which is identified in the promotional material, used by the customer for promoting our services. Where a ticket has not yet been issued the purchaser of this ticket may be liable for additional charges at the discretion of Oz Experience. Additional charges may include optional activities offered as part of the Oz Experience network, costs for these inclusions will be collected prior to boarding for those who wish to participate.
18. ITINERARY DISCLAIMER: Our itineraries are correct at time of printing and may differ slightly to the one in the brochure and on website. Occasionally our itineraries change as we make improvements based on comments from past travellers and our own research. Our brochure is printed in October for release in November, therefore if you have booked from a previous brochure there may have been changes to improve the itinerary.
19. Australia is by nature a warm and friendly place. You can expect high temperatures in the summer but be prepared for lower temperatures at night and during the Australian winter. Conditions can change quickly, especially in Southern Australia, and you should be prepared for rain and snow at times.
20. Bookings made with Oz Experience direct: 10% cancellation fee applies before commencement of travel. No refund after travel has commenced. If you are booking an 'Add On tour' on this website then the applicable Adventure Tours Australia cancellation fee applies since they are the operator of these tours. Those cancellation fees are: within 24 hours of departure 100% of fare, 24-48 hours of departure 50% of fare, 48 hours-30 days of departure 25% of fare. Bookings made with a Travel Agent: Please refer to your agent who may charge fees in addition to the above.
21. Children 8 years and under are not permitted to travel on any tour. Children under 16 years of age are not permitted to travel unless accompanied by an adult.
22. Australian Government regulations prohibit smoking and the drinking of alcohol inside tourist vehicles in Australia (smoking and drinking should be limited to stops along the route).
23. These terms and conditions apply to the extent that they are not inconsistent with, or not in contravention of, any obligation imposed upon Oz Experience by virtue of the provisions of the Trade Practices Act 1974.
24. These terms and conditions are effective for passes purchased on or before the 31st December 2008.
25. Apparently travel with Oz Experience has a positive affect on your sense of adventure.
