Devils Marbles

The Oz Experience bus will stop at the Devil's Marbles, just off the Stuart Highway.

You will stop here because the Devils Marble's are a unique rock feature of large exposed pieces of granite.  Their unusual shape and presence, apparently balancing and not rolling off the rounded cap of rock they sit on has become iconic to the Northern Territory.

Oz Experience recommends:
  • Not missing out on the obligatory photo graph of you with a Marble!

Destination Wiki: Devil's Marbles

A wiki is a web page updateable by anyone. By travellers, for travellers. Update this yourself! Powered by Travel Generation.

Local Aboriginal people, the Kaytetye, have always considered the area to have special religious importance (indeed the area is considered to be one of the oldest religious sites in the world) and have their own creation stories for the rock formations.

Your guide will explain the formation of the 'Marbles' at the site - learning geology was never as interesting as it is on a tour!
