Fraser Island 4WD Safaris
Self-Drive 4WD Safaris
These are designed for the individual travellers wishing to join a group of like minded individuals. If you don’t have any travel mates then no worries. The hostels will help you get together with others. The packages include a four wheel drive jeep; tents and camping equipment, and a few other bits and piece that you’ll need. You buy your own food, beer, and water. There are full safety briefings and instructions issued. The trips are normally 3-days and 2-nights.
Self-drive means you get to drive your own 4WD across rugged sandy bush tracks and along smooth sandy beaches. It’s a great experience. Fraser has beautiful fresh water lakes and rivers and spectacular scenery. Your 3-days will be quite full.
Guided 4WD Safaris
These offer a greater degree of comfort. It’s fully accommodated – no camping – and all the meals are included. You have a fully qualified guide to tell you all the facts and figures about World Heritage Listed Fraser Island. At night you’ll sleep in the Wilderness Lodge or Eurong resort, set in a eucalypt forest. All-inclusive guided Fraser Island tours offer 3 days 2 nights or 2 days 1 night options, including return catamaran transfers, resort accommodation, ranger-guided 4WD tours and all meals (buffet dinners and breakfasts with picnic lunches on tour).
