Surf Lessons The easiest way to get standing up on a surfboard is to take a lesson from someone who knows how. At our surf camp trained and friendly surf instructors will give you all the tips you need with special soft and stable surfboards, wetsuits for warmth and all their good advice to get you styling it like a pro. They start off with a land based theory lesson and practice the moves on the stable land that you will use in the water. You don't even have to be able to swim to be able to surf (but it helps!) when someone is pushing you into the wave to give you the speed to be able to stand up. There's some pretty basic moves and pointers that the surf gurus will give you to make a novice stand up and someone who can already surf even better. The accommodation at Surf Camp is literally across the road from the beach. So it's home for a beer and sit around the camp fire and a hearty dinner before a well earned rest and then we do it all again the next day.

Barefoot Bowling English lawn bowls is a peculiar sport, someone say something you do when you are retired and aren't so active in later life - something daggy that only your Grandparents would do. We at Oz Experience say 'no' to these unfortunate sterotypes because in Australia lawn bowls is pretty cool. It's even better the Oz Experience way with bare feet (no shoes or socks) getting in touch with the 'green' with a cheap beer in your hand (but not on the green, you'll get told off by one of the Club Members!) and having a 'roll' with your mates. It's a good way to break up the day and test your skill - it's harder than you think to roll your bowl closest to the small white bowl especially when your bowls are weighted on one side making them curve on the way down the 'green'. All will be explained in the sleepy little town of Sarina or alternative. Good luck and happy rolling to you all!

Goat Rodeo, Kroombit Cattle Station We could take you to a Cattle Station and show you cattle but we thought goats are way more interesting! We've built a yard and introduce you to farm life by explaining some of the routine animal handling duties on a farm. You'll be told about how to catch a goat safely and humanely, how to gently hold it, basically you will become one with the goat! It's kind of a crazy scene and something unique to Kroombit and Oz Experience. It's all highly supervised and you can see you have to wear helmets when in action. Reckon you can team up with a mate from the bus and catch a goat, milk it and drink it?! There's also whip cracking practice - the stock whip is used to make a loud 'cracking' sound not to hit the animals.
