Australia is a large continent so it's better to let someone else do the driving while you can kick back and look the window and take it all in. Whatever way you travel you will be subject to this experience of travel time and distance. Part of the appeal of Oz Experience is that it is not like an express bus that can only stop at designated places. We also operate to a timetable but built into that timetable are breaks, diversions, stops at look out points, the ability to take the road less traveled which is as you know often more interesting when traveling. Driving times are broken up with regular breaks for the Guide and travelers with refreshments and toilet considerations taken into account accordingly.
Use the driving times as a way of understanding that Australia needs more time or you need to consider travel time. The luxury Oz Experience has is that it builds activities into its daily itinerary so as you travel you experience Australia rather than traveling to a destination directly and missing out all that is in between.
