Itinerary
Day 1 - Alice Springs To Boulia
Our road trip from the heart of the Australian desert to the Tropics begins early today. A big day is ahead, travelling unsealed roads through one of the most remote areas in Australia. Lunch today is at Jervois Station. Skirt the top of the Simpson Desert before stopping at Tobermorey Station. If you’ve never had a feeling of remoteness before, you will today! Tonight stay at Wirrelyerna Station - a fantastic experience!

Day 2- Boulia To Hughenden
We re-join the sealed Highway passing through Boulia. Our first stop this morning is a little pub in the middle of nowhere, Middleton Pub – population 5. Continue on to Carisbrook Station where we enjoy a BBQ lunch & time is allowed to explore. Winton is the next stop, rich in Australian history. A complete change of landscape this afternoon before arriving at Hughenden. Enjoy a hot buffet dinner & air-conditioned multi-share accommodation.

Day 3 - Hughenden To Cairns
A short drive this morning to Porcupine Gorge lookout, before a great opportunity to spot our unique native wildlife, especially this time of day. After a brief stop at Australia’s smallest bar, we re-join the sealed road travelling through the lush Atherton Tablelands. Wooroonooren National Park is our next stop. Take a breathtaking rainforest walk (relaxed 2hrs) & swim at the Nandroya Falls before continuing to Cairns, where we farewell our travelling companions at dinner.
