Destination Wiki: Lakes Entrance

A wiki is a web page updateable by anyone. By travellers, for travellers. Update this yourself! Powered by Travel Generation.

Lakes Entrance is located where the Gippsland Lakes flow into the Southern Ocean. A scenic coastal area of bird life and recreational activities and beaches surround the area.

You would want to stay longer here if you wanted to go fishing (the place is known as the 'Seafood Capital' for good reason), are into watersports and long strolls along the beach - hey, there's Ninety Mile Beach right here for a really long romantic stroll!

For one of our Guides 'Gollum', his favourite thing to do here is grab a wicked coffee and watch the big Pelicans on the foreshore. A simple but rewarding pleasure.
