Destination Wiki: Sarina

A wiki is a web page updateable by anyone. By travellers, for travellers. Update this yourself! Powered by Travel Generation.

[Edit] Sarina has 3 main claims to fame:

1. Sugar township. Sarina Inlet was named by a Greek surveyor in the early 1860s and by the 1870s sugar cane plantations had been established in the area.

2. Home of The Big Cane Toad. We drive past it. It's actually not native and is very destructive to native animals.

3. And most importantly to Oz Experience, it's where you'll stop for a break to play Lawn Bowls. Did you know, Lawn Bowls has more deaths than any other sport (due to elderly, beer, sun and heat)?
