Want to know more before you decide? If there's anything you don't understand below, please feel free to contact us on 1300 300 028 (Australia) or +61 7 3155 1550 (International) or email us at

  • What is included in my package?

Unlimited hop on, hop off travel on Greyhound Australia’s network with a Whimit Pass plus the tours as listed on each package so you can experience some of Australia’s awesome scenery, landscape and activities.

  • What is not included in my package?

Accommodation, food and anything not listed as an inclusion like souvenirs, transfers and any extra activities you might want to do

  • Is accommodation included?

Some of the tours and experiences have accommodation included (for example, Whitsunday sailing – your bed is booked on the boat on the night you travel) and there are a couple of overnight coaches with Greyhound that will save you a couple of bucks.  But for the other nights, we suggest grabbing yourself a Base or YHA hostel pass which will save you money when you buy in bulk, or you can book your own.

  • What do I do after I have bought my package?

You will receive a booking confirmation from us with the details of your booking, and register your My Experience account.  In here you can book your travel sectors and tour dates in real-time 24/7.

  • What is a Whimit Pass?

Whimit is a travel pass based on days.  It gives you unlimited travel anywhere on the Greyhound network up to the number of days on your package.

  • I’m not 18 yet, can I buy an Oz Experience package?

Unfortunately, no.  You need to be 18 or over as many experience inclusions are licensed and you need to be of legal age.

  • How flexible is my package?

Very. From the day of purchase, you have 12 months to start your trip.  The Discoverer, Adventurer, Cruiser and Explorer packages are valid for 60 days after the first day of travel, and the Wanderer package is valid for 90 days after the first day of travel.

  • How do I book my coach travel?

Through your My Experience account you can add, change and delete coach trips in real-time.  However, if you have trouble with your account you can call us on 1300 300 028 or visit a Greyhound Travel Centre in Australia.

  • How often does the bus leave? Where can I get a timetable from?

Greyhound Australia has the largest network of coaches across Australia and in most locations, multiple departure times to choose from each day.  You can check full timetables on their website or check a particular trip through your My Experience account.

  • What happens if I miss my bus?

Don't worry – happens to the best of us!  Call Greyhound or login to you My Experience account to book on to the next available coach.  You won’t need to pay for another seat as you have unlimited travel on Greyhound for the duration of the package

  • Can I visit any location that does not have an experience included?

Absolutely.  The travel included in the package is essentially a Greyhound Whimit pass, so you can visit to any location Greyhound travels to across its network.

  • Do I need to book in advance or can I wait until I arrive?

Accommodation and experiences or tours can and do book out weeks in advance.  We highly recommend you book your dates as soon as you know to avoid disappointment and not to disrupt your travel plans.

During peak times (from November – March) this may mean you need to book 4 weeks or more in advance.

  • How do I know if there is availability on an Experience (Tour) before booking?

We recommend calling each operator when you are ready to book in your date. The details of each operator will be printed on your ticket or show in your My Experience account.

  • Can I get help with planning my trip?

Absolutely! If you’re not in Australia yet, just email with your booking number and a brief outline and we’ll help you get started.

Otherwise visit us at a Greyhound Australia store and their staff members can help you out.
