If there is one thing that Aussies do well, it is their insane festival's they showcase all across the country every year! So, if you love to party hard to epic Aussie and international music, and to get out in the great outdoors, here are five events you need to lock in your calendar asap!


Unless you've been living under a rock, we have no doubt that you would have heard of Splendour in the Grass, aka, Splendour.

This gig is easily one of the biggest festivals in Australia located in the beautiful North Byron Parklands, Byron Bay. It always has a top-notch line-up covering a wide range of genres, so great for every music style lover.

Accommodation in Byron books out quick, so you need to get in early. Alternatively pack yo' tent and sleeping bag and you're good to go!

2018 DATE: 20,21 & 22 July 2018.


Harbourlife is Sydney's spectacular waterside party. Situated at Mrs Macquarie's Point, at the best-located dance floor in the country, Harbourlife plays host to a handpicked selection of international and local house music artists.

With a beautiful venue, great soundtrack and the best vibes, it's no wonder it's renowned as the quintessential Sydney party to kick off the summer season. Tickets can be hard to come by, so act fast and secure them before they sell out!

2018 Date: TBC (but is usually at the beginning of November)

Another gig located in Byron Bay, (they seem to always get the good ones), Falls Festival, is one festival not too miss. With over 70 renowned bands, DJs and comedians across three days, it is the best way to ring in the New Year.

2018 DATE: TBC (usually 29-31st or around then)


If you have heard of the Burning Man Festival, that is held in Nevada's Black Rock Desert, this is Australia's equivalent.

This is the ultimate BYO, fancy dress themed party like no other in Australia. Located in the Red Earth City, this festival is curated by festival goers and is a truly intimate experience where you'll be a part of the Burning Seed family as soon as you arrive.

2018 DATE: Midday Wednesday 26th Sept to midday Tuesday 2nd October.


Stereosonic, aka, Stereo, was Australia's largest music festival that travelled across the country every year bringing the best acts in the industry. BUT, in 2016 they cancelled their festival sharing they planned to come back bigger than ever in 2017… however this did not happen ☹ ☹ ☹.

While no dates have been set for 2018, we have our fingers and toes crossed. The festival is usually held end of November/ start of December.
